Danny Rubinstein, Israel’s longest serving West Bank correspondent, is the former editor of Ha’aretz Daily after a long career as a senior commentator on Palestinian affairs. Having covered the West Bank and Gaza since they fell under Israeli occupation in 1967, Rubinstein is one of the most trusted and respected experts worldwide on Israeli-Palestinian relations. He is the author of several books, among them People of Nowhere: The Palestinian Vision of Home, and The Mystery of Arafat, a biography of the Palestinian leader. Rubinstein, a native of Jerusalem, teaches at Hebrew University and at Ben Gurion University in the Negev. He is a frequent guest lecturer at American colleges.
Bernard Avishai is an adjunct professor at Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Dartmouth College. Avishai has covered the Middle East, writing for publications like The New Yorker and Harvard Business Review, and is the author of three books on Israel including his latest, The Hebrew Republic.
